City of LaFayette recently issued the following announcement.
Construction is underway at Wilson Community Garden, located at 500 S. Miller Ave. On January 21, City Council approved a contract with a landscape design firm to renovate the community garden. This renovation will result in a fresh, new look that will include new garden plots, ADA accessible raised beds, pathways, and improvements to the irrigation system that delivers water to the plots. Gardeners will receive the benefit of individualized plots with concrete borders and amended soils perfect for raising vegetables and plants to their liking. Wide pathways will guide gardeners through the site improving access to gardening beds and the pump house. Construction will take place from January through late April 2020. Weather permitting, the new and improved community garden will be ready in time for Spring seeding and planting.
