CITY OF LAFAYETTE: 15th annual MLK Celebration and March for Peace on January 20

City of Lafayette issued the following announcement on Jan. 16

Celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. during the City’s 15th annual Martin Luther King March for Peace and Celebration!  Held on Monday, January 20, the event will kick-off at 11:30am at Angeving Middle School with a pre-march celebration featuring remarks by Congressman Joe Neguse; performances by Fruta Brutal and other talented artists; family-friendly activities; and free refreshments and fun!  Event t-shirts will be shared with the first 250 community members to arrive; gift cards to local businesses will also be randomly distributed during the event.

The March for Peace will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with departure from Angevine Middle School’s north parking lot.  

This event is brought to you by the Lafayette Youth Advisory Committee with support from numerous organizations and agencies, including the Lafayette Colorado Police Department and the City of Lafayette Recreation Department.
