Murray State University issued the following announcement on Oct. 2
The first cohort of students in Murray State University’s new 100 percent online master’s degree in mass communications will graduate in May 2020 as the University looks to expand its flexible offerings for graduate students seeking the next step in their education.
Murray State’s advanced degree in mass communications prepares students for careers across the communications spectrum, from public relations to journalism, corporate communications, broadcasting and more.
Now offered entirely online across a 30 credit hour program, students are able to earn their master’s in mass communications at their own pace without time or geographical restrictions.
“I am extremely proud that our first cohort will be graduating in May 2020,” said Dr. Bella Ezumah, graduate program director of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications. “These students worked very hard, combining their full-time jobs with a rigorous program. I also commend my colleagues: the outstanding faculty at the JMC department. We look forward to expanding the program to cater to people both in our immediate service area and beyond.”For more information about graduate programs at Murray State, please visit murraystate.edu/graduate.
